The race starts on William Edward Street (cnr Dunois) outside Kingsford Smith Oval. Assemble on Kingsford Smith Oval and wait for your event to be called.
The 5km event starts at 7:30am. The 2km event starts at 8:30am
The roads into Longueville will be closed from 6:30am. Residents can still enter and exit the area until 7:15am. Roads will re-open at 10:00am.
One way eastbound lane along Woodford Street between Arabella Street and Kenneth street will remain open. Access between Arabella Street north of Woodford Street will be maintained. Access along William Edward Street will be maintained for residents only.

We will do our very best to hold the event. However, if the weather is deemed unsafe for participants then we will need to cancel the event. There will not be an alternative event date.
Our stallholders can choose whether they would still like to attend the event in the rain. Unfortunately, some may choose to cancel their stall.
Yes. There is no need to register children under 3 or children in strollers. However, if you would like your little one to have a bib and an official time you will need to register and pay for them. The cheapest way to do this is to register them in the family registration.
Yes. If your child is a confident runner and you are happy for them to race without an adult then you do not need to register for the event as well. Please note that whilst there are course marshals to direct runners they will not be responsible for supervising children.
We have done our best to keep the entry fees as low as possible. Our event is completely run by volunteers. However, we need to cover the substantial costs of full road closures, RMS staff, bibs and timing chips and event insurance. Our event is also a fundraiser.
Yes, you can. Once you have entered the registration details and gone through to the cart you can select ‘register another’.
Yes, they can. When you click on the family registration link you will see that you are able to select a different event distance for each family member.
Yes, you can. However, you will need to pay to register for both events. You can select to pay an additional $5 on top of your 5km event.
No. We have made our courses as close to the advertised distance as possible.
Dogs have been welcome at Lane Cove Fun Run since we started, but we do recognise that they pose a potential risk to other runners, to volunteers and to other spectators.
We ask fun runners with dogs to abide by the following rules:
- One dog per runner
- Dogs should be kept under firm control, on a short lead or a harness with a short lead, and extreme care taken to avoid tripping other runners.
- It is not permitted to run with a pushchair and a dog at the same time.
- Runners are responsible for the welfare of their own dog.
- Runners with Dogs will be in the 3rd wave of the 2km
No. Participant safety is our utmost priority. However, if you arrive early you can take advantage of the car-free streets from 6:30 am!
There is free bag storage provided (place to be confirmed). Please don’t leave valuables at the free bag storage. We will take good care of your belongings but valuables are your responsibility.
