The race starts on Kenneth Street outside Kingsford Smith Oval. Assemble on Kingsford Smith Oval and wait for your event to be called.

The 5km event starts at 7:30am (join us for a 7:10am warmup!).

The 2km event starts at 8:30am (join us for a 8:10am warmup!)

The roads into Longueville will be closed from 6:30am. Residents can still enter and exit the area until 7:15am. Roads will re-open at 10:00am.

We will do our very best to hold the event. However, if the weather is deemed unsafe for participants then we will need to cancel the event. There will not be an alternative event date.

Our stallholders can choose whether they would still like to attend the event in the rain. Unfortunately, some may choose to cancel their stall.

This event is a fund raiser for Lane Cove Public School and Sydney Community Services. We try to keep our event costs as low as possible so it’s accessible for people across our community.

No – you don’t need to register kids under 3.

Yes. There is no need to register children under 3 or children in strollers. However, if you would like your little one to have a bib and an official time you will need to register and pay for them. The cheapest way to do this is to register them in the family registration.

Yes, you do. A discount will be applied at check out when you register two adults and two or more children. The discount applies to every child after the first.

Yes, you can and it is cheaper as a bundle than buying separately.

No. We have made our courses as close to the advertised distance as possible.

Dogs have been welcome at Lane Cove Fun Run since we started, but we do recognise that they pose a potential risk to other runners, to volunteers and to other spectators.

We ask fun runners with dogs to abide by the following rules:

• One dog per runner
• Dogs should be kept under firm control, on a short lead or a harness with a short lead, and extreme care taken to avoid tripping other runners.
• It is not permitted to run with a pushchair and a dog at the same time.
• Runners are responsible for the welfare of their own dog.
• Runners with Dogs will be in the 3rd wave of the 2km

No. Participant safety is our utmost priority. However, if you arrive early you can take advantage of the car-free streets from 6:30 am!

We recommend that you leave as many belongings as you can at home, especially any valuables. However, there will be free bag storage provided at the LCFR for those things you cannot do without. Please note, the Lane Cove Fun Run bag storage service is a free and completely voluntary service and the Lane Cove Fun Run accept no responsibility for any items checked into the bag storage area. You will need to pick your belongings up by 10am.

Your Race Bib has a timing chip on the back which registers when you cross the start and finish line. Without a Race Bib you won’t receive a race time. Also, your race bib identifies you for the purpose of judging best dressed family, boy, girl, and dogs.

Our Fun Run registration policy is generally no refunds, as registrations help us commit to the costs of running the event and, ultimately, the Fun Run is a charity fundraiser.

You are very welcome to transfer your registrations to someone else (via the Race Roster System).
